I really shouldn’t be stopping to post a photo shoot since I’m drowning in photos to edit right now. However I’m completely in love with this session and I had to post it right away!

I’m pretty sure these two don’t even know how photogenic they are and how great their chemistry is in front of the camera. Besides that, they are really fun to be around. Can’t wait for their wedding next month!

I’ll be honest: before this shoot, I hated High Park. I hate how crowded and huge that park is. Always thought it was an overrated park and whenever I could, I convinced families/couples to go to Edward Gardens or somewhere smaller. I was just excited with Melanie+Jeff’s suggestion because initially we were thinking about having the shoot during the blooming of the cherry trees (which we missed it, unfortunately). Anyways… going there on a weekday is a completely different story. It is indeed a beautiful park to go to.

Let me share some of my favorite photos with you! :)

Cute couple alert! Loved this shoot at Kawartha Lakes. If I remember correctly from our first meeting, Steph was not a big fan of engagement sessions. I remember she had great reasons for not wanting to do that, but my mommy brain is making impossible for me to list them now. Thing is, I couldn’t let such a cute bride get away from an E-Session (and these shoots are always GREAT to know what works and what doesn’t with a couple).

They decided to have the photo session at the place where they actually got engaged – I love when couples choose locations close to their heart instead of following trends they see around the web.

It’s been 3 years since I didn’t have a morning Engagement Session. I usually recommend having e-sessions and family shoots closer to sunset to get the most flattering light, but whenever we can’t do that, early morning is the second best thing! So thanks, Steph and Joe for agreeing on waking up that early!

I had just worked on a wedding the day before and had to set up 3 alarm clocks to make sure I’d be up. lol. Funny I didn’t feel tired at all – it was actually really nice driving all the way to Kawartha Lakes, no traffic, just me and the radio. Also, Steph and Joe were a really sweet and fun couple so that makes things easier. I can tell Joe is not a great fan of taking pictures, but we got so many great ones I have to share with you!

Congrats on your engagement Steph and Joe, can’t wait for you big day. :)

p.s.: I must say tiredness hit me like a truck as soon as I got home.

Fiona and Bendy are getting married this September at The Estates of Sunnybrook and this is their E-Session, which was shot at the beautiful Edward Gardens.

This was my second time shooting an Engagement Session over there this year, which is kind of surprising because even though I go there plenty of times for Family shoots, I’ve never had couples asking for that park in particular. Maybe urban E-Shoots are finally old news?

Had an amazing time with Fiona and Bendy – these two are really sweet! Congrats guys, really looking forward for your big day this September. :)

p.s.: You can view the other Edward Gardens’ shoot clicking here. Love the fact that these were shot a couple of weeks apart and one couple got a cloudy day (which they actually liked because Fiona prefers the cold weather) and the other got a sunny day (which was Hanaa’s preference as well!).

Really enjoyed spending time with Wilmar and David! Such a sweet couple. Can’t wait for their wedding this Summer!

I must say I’m still a fan of pictures by the lake, can’t get tired of it. Whenever I can, I try to persuade couples into splitting their shoot between wherever they want and somewhere else w/ sand, water and, if we’re lucky, a nice sunset. And I’ll tell you they never regret it.

5 minutes away from Cherry Beach is the Distillery District. Even though they were holding a festival on that day and the place was completely packed with tents and people, we managed to get some great shots over there as well.

Let me share my favorites with you! :)

It’s funny how time flies when you get older. Just now I noticed it’s been almost 5 months since I posted a family shoot here. I worked with so many wonderful families last year and never had a chance to stop and write about them. I even had families asking me if I didn’t like their shoot because they never appeared in my blog (!).

Thing is, after you have kids, your priorities change quite a bit. I’m always working on weekends and then, on weekdays, I also have to stay on my computer editing photos. When I’m done with the editing, I just want to spend as much time as I can with my daughter and this blog, unfortunately, is not a priority anymore. I do post some new work on my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/YukiNodaPhotography); that’s the place where you should go to check out my newest work.

This is Francesco and this photo session is celebrating his 100th day, a special occasion in Chinese culture. It was such a pleasure to meet this cute little baby and his older brother, Matteo.

Our shoot started with just Francesco and his mom. A few minutes later, Matteo and his dad arrived from swimming lessons. First thing Matteo did was go to his brother room and hug him! Cutest thing EVER! It was incredible to see such a young boy caring so much about his younger brother.

Even though I’m always at Edward Gardens working with families, I’ve never had a couple asking for an engagement shoot over there. And I’ll be honest, it was great taking a break from editing Distillery District/Brickworks photos – the two most popular locations among lovebirds.

The amazing light and super cute couple were a great finish to a very busy Sunday! Hanaa and Asher were really good at posing and being comfortable around each other. Our shoot was such a breeze that Hanaa was able to change THREE times. :)

Congrats on your engagement, Hanaa and Asher. Can’t wait for your wedding this summer!

I always thought shooting during the rain was one of the hardest thing to do. Now I know it’s not: shooting with a bunch of bugs flying around you is the hardest thing ever. This is not a joke, we had thousands of mosquitoes following us during this photo session. We even decided to run at one point to see if they’d go away.

Dora went home with over 30 bites on her legs! I went home with a bunch of images filled with bugs to photoshop. Next time I’ll remember the bug spray. :)
