Some days ago I was browsing through Amazon and I stumbled upon the box set of Dawson’s Creek for sale. I didn’t think twice – I had to buy it, since it was my favorite show ever. Dawson’s Creek was on during my teen years and I loved the way that the series was different from the other teen series around that time. Of course that only lasted for the first season and then it became a teen show like all others – guess it had to do with ratings as well. But I kept watching.

The box set finally arrived and I decided to watch some of the episodes again. Then I realized I was too old for it. I can’t relate to any of that anymore – therefore, it’s no fun wasting a whole hour watching Dawson, Joey, Pacey and their whole drama.

The next day, I decided to give it a another try. For my surprise, the episode I chose did not play on my DVD player and since I read that lots of people had trouble with that box set, I decided to return it and just get a refund. Goodbye, James Van Der Beek.

I can’t believe it’s been 13 years since the 1st season of DC. 10 years ago I was leaving high school and starting university. Wow.

And talking about years, the couple from this post has been together for a long time now and I couldn’t believe how they were still so sweet to each other. This is one of the cutest couples EVER! They were sooo in love – their e-session was great. I love every single image of them! I have so many photo shoots from last year I still want to post in here, but I just had to post this one right away. :)

p.s.: this post was updated on 02/15.

As a teenager one of my favorite TV shows was Felicity. I used to love the idea of exchanging cassette tapes instead of letters. JJ Abrams writes some pretty good tv series, it’s such a pity that they all jump the shark as the series get closer to the end. Till today I still know by heart some of Felicity’s lines and there’s one that fits what I’m feeling right now – “Sometimes bad things just happen. No reason, no purpose. They just occur and we’re left to pick up the pieces the best we can.” Before you guys think something awful happened to me, don’t worry, I’m okay! It’s just that this week has been pretty stressful. But I guess that’s just the way it is. Sometimes I do forget I’m a grown up. All in all, I should really be thankful: I get to work with what I love (it doesn’t even feel like work!), I get to spend my days with (literally) the happiest baby on the block, and I have a husband that supports me in every single decision I make. So I don’t think life can get any better!

Anyways, enough about me. This is Ray and Jennifer. As you might notice, we had this photo session a while ago, since Jennifer would obviously not be able to wear that dress during winter! It was already pretty cold when we shot this, but the images turned out amazing. These are actually their pre-wedding images and they are getting married this February.

January has been a quiet month for me, but my weekends next month are all booked! It was good to take some time off but I can’t wait to start shooting again!

p.s.: I don’t know if anybody noticed, but I removed that tree from my website background. Finally got tired of it! If you’re still seeing it, it might be still in your cache memory; try refreshing the page. If it’s still there after doing that, don’t worry, what really matters are the pictures. :)

Wow, I can’t believe this year went by so fast!

A big THANK YOU to all my clients: thanks for letting me capture so many important moments in your life – some of you even hired me more than once!!

I really wanted to post more of my work of 2011, but unfortunately (or should I say fortunately?) I’ve been working a lot still and I haven’t had the time to choose the pictures for my blog.

Thanks again and happy holidays! See you all next year. :)

This probably will be one of my last posts of the year. I’m already deleting my last 2011 photo shoots from my computer and making space for 2012.

I’ll be shooting Maria and Dimitri’s wedding next May and I really can’t wait. I had a great time with them during their E-Session. If I could post all pictures I took from them, I’d definitely would. It was really hard choosing my faves!!

Kamal and Mruna just got married but I’ve been so busy here that I didn’t even have time to post their e-session. As you guys know, I just moved to a new place – my first house (!) – and I’m still decorating it. It’s tough trying to put the house together and working and taking care of a new born baby, but I don’t miss living in an apartment AT ALL (and I don’t miss the days when I wasn’t a mom either!).

Let me tell you that I also have a new assistant – AKA baby Melody – that helps me editing my pictures. Now that she’s getting older, she doesn’t like to just sit there and play with her toys. She gets curious about what I’m doing so most of my shoots she’s here trying to do some editing as well.

Right now she’s helping me with Kamal and Mruna’s wedding so I decided to relax a bit and share their e-session with you. There are so many other things I want to post here, like my new albums and keepsakes that you can purchase with your photoshoot, but I’ll have to leave this subject for when winter comes.

p.s.: You can view a video of their wedding (made by the talented guys from NG Studio) on my Facebook Fan Page. Become a fan and check it out. I happen to appear on the video. :)

Okay then… let me go back to work. Hopefully you guys will be able to check their wedding before new year’s. :)

Things are quite busy over here – I just moved to a new house so there’s lots to do. First thing we actually unpacked was the computer so I could get back to working on pictures!

I’ve always lived in tiny apartaments in the city so I thought I could never get used to living in the suburbs, but I’m loving it. It’s so peaceful and quiet!

Anyways, Alfred contacted me last month so he and his wife could have wedding pictures done. Yeap, they were already married, but never had the chance to do their portraits. Just loved their images, let me share some of them with you! (and go back to work)

I really loved this session. Why? I always suggest places to shoot at and usually couples already have another place in mind – and that’s TOTALLY okay, it’s not my e-session, it’s theirs! I’ll go wherever you guys want to go. But in this case, Kit and I were thinking about the same place! :)

And it was an adventure to get to Centreville. First, traffic was major and parking was extremely hard to find – who knew Taylor Swift would be in town that day. Then, we took the WRONG boat. But in the end, we made it to the park and got to take some really nice pictures. This is definitely one of my favorites photo shoots of the year – I know I say a lot of sessions were “one of my favorites” but I’m actually thinking in ranking my favorite sessions of the year in December so you guys know I’m not just saying… :)

This photo session was postponed innumerous times – weather wasn’t helping at all – but when we finally did it, the results were amazing. Check it out.

What can I say about this e-session? I absolutely loved it! If I could, I’d post all pictures here, REALLY!… The location they chose was amazing – I was so happy to go somewhere else other than the Distillery District!!

Michael and Ashley are such a cute couple, I had an awesome time with them – the evening went by so fast I wish I had more time to take their engagement photos! Now I can’t wait for their wedding.

That “A ♥ M” on the rock over there was not made by us!! It was already there, I SWEAR!

Abie just had a birthday and her hubby, Mike, decided to give her a photo shoot as a gift! I just find it so romantic when it’s the husband that wants to do that… let’s face it, usually it’s us – women – that want to take pictures! We started the session just with the birthday girl because he really wanted some pictures just of her, then we did some romantic shots with both of them. And their kids were there waiting patiently to get on the frame as well! They were so cute and well-behaved… I don’t know if I’m lucky, but I always get to work with the sweetest kids!! I hope my future kids are just like that!

It was cold still – can’t wait for spring to come along, but the images turned out just beautiful. These are my faves.
