It’s 11 am of October 26th – I usually don’t write on the same day I post – and I’m editing some pictures from an e-session. The one I had to cancel because of the rain two weeks ago, remember? Looking amazing so far and I’ll try my best to post them as soon as I can (who am I kidding? I’ll probably just post the pictures next year… lol. Sorry guys, but my priority is actually editing the pictures and uploading them to their private online gallery).

On this post, I want to talk about a section of this blog that usually goes unnoticed: the FAQ. If you’re thinking about booking a photo shoot with me, that’s a great place that answers most of your questions. There you will find answers regarding turnarounds, editing, my style of work, etc. These things are actually discussed when we meet up or talk over e-mail/phone (and they are also on the agreement you’ll sign), but it’s always good to check that out beforehand. This helps especially brides, that are usually talking to tons of photographers.

I’m talking about this because, every now and then, after the online gallery is up and you can view how your pictures turned out, I get requests for body modifications – “Can you make me look thinner??”. One thing that I always talk in meetings is how I dislike when photographers make clients look like plastic dolls or soap opera stars. I like people looking like themselves. And if you’re hiring me as your photographer, it’s because you liked my work and trust my point of view. A picture does not need to have a hot model to look amazing. If you go through my portfolio, you’ll see all kinds of people – and if you loved them, you need to know that those people over there are exactly like you see in the picture. You know what I dislike the most? When the white of the eyes are so white that if that was actually true I would run like crazy if you knocked on my door looking like that! Of course, as a photographer, I will for sure photograph you using the best angles, the ones that are most flattering to you! If you want to show your wedding pictures and then have people talking behind your back about how you were photoshopped thin, then I’m definitely not your type of photographer.

Now let’s actually talk about the pictures on this post! :)

Last summer I had the opportunity to work with Laura and Thomas again. I took pictures of them when they were six months old – you’ve probably already seen them here in the blog! – and now they are all grown up. But this time, instead of mom and dad, grandma and grandpa joined for some shots as well. :)

While I’m editing another wedding, I’ll leave you guys with a photo session that I absolutely loved it. Stacey booked me to take pictures of her family and let me tell you that her kids are amazing – Marlee and Ruben are so cute and well-behaved – usually boys don’t really like cameras, but Ruben was all smiles! I had a great time doing this photo session, it’s always good to have a fun family photo session in the midst of all these weddings!

Last month I had the opportunity to shoot this very important time on Hannah’s life: her Bat Mitzvah. The pictures turned out great. Let me share some of them with you. First part was at the synagogue, beautiful place by the way.

Second part is the party! Before it began, we shot some amazing portraits.

Then the party started!! Practically everybody was at the dance floor!

It all ended with an ice cream truck! YUMMY!!

I had a great time, congratulations, Hannah!

Abie just had a birthday and her hubby, Mike, decided to give her a photo shoot as a gift! I just find it so romantic when it’s the husband that wants to do that… let’s face it, usually it’s us – women – that want to take pictures! We started the session just with the birthday girl because he really wanted some pictures just of her, then we did some romantic shots with both of them. And their kids were there waiting patiently to get on the frame as well! They were so cute and well-behaved… I don’t know if I’m lucky, but I always get to work with the sweetest kids!! I hope my future kids are just like that!

It was cold still – can’t wait for spring to come along, but the images turned out just beautiful. These are my faves.

This past Thanksgiving I got to shoot this beautiful family at the Edward Gardens. I just had a wedding – amazing, by the way! pictures of that coming soon!! – the night before and I got home at 1 in the morning. I must admit that when I woke up that Thanksgiving day I was pretty much dead because of all the events from this past week (weddings, elections, new born portraits… everything happened on one week!!). When I got to the park and met Jack, I totally fell in love with this little kid. He was full of energy, running around and smiling… the thing is, even with all the running, when I talked to him and asked him to sit for a bit and take some pictures, he actually listened to me! So well-behaved! :) His mom and dad were also super kind to me. Guys, thanks very much for a wonderful afternoon! I have some really nice pictures to share.

A couple of days ago I had the pleasure of shooting baby Thomas. He just loves playing with the flowers in his backyard… such a cuteness! :)

A couple of days ago, I shot these kids that are starting out a band, called Freedom After All. Our shoot had been scheduled and rescheduled several times, but then we decided to shoot it anyways, it didn’t matter if the weather was good or not. In the end, it rained a lot, but the pictures turned out really good. I was pretty impressed with the boys, they were pretty serious about their band and it was easy shooting them. They didn’t play around and the results are amazing. Hope they can break into the music industry.

Had a really nice photo shoot last week with this lovely family. Aliadne and Luciano just had Laura and Thomas – yes, they’re twins! Amazingly, Laura looks just like her mommy and Thomas got the looks from his daddy.

It was a extremely hot day, but it was totally worth it in the end. More photos at http://www.facebook.com/YukiNodaPhotography.

Last month, I went to Renata and Dory’s house to shoot little Olivia (you can check some of the pictures here).

I knew Renata was expecting another child – this time, a baby boy! I asked her if she wanted to do some maternity shots as well, but she was pretty shy about it.

When I got there, I just couldn’t help it and I decided to take some pictures of the whole family. I had a wonderful day with them. Renata, Dory & Olivia, thanks so much for your warm welcome. Congrats on your second baby! :)

I had so many pictures I wanted to post of Olivia’s photoshoot that I wasn’t able to upload to the blog the family images – that’s why I’m writing this second post about this beautiful family. Hope you like it!

This week I got to take pictures of this cute little princess. Olivia is 3, although she claims to be 1 – already wanting to hide her age. :)

I just loved taking pictures of her; it’s a completely different experience!

Here are some of the photos. More pictures on my Facebook page – just click here!
