This was my shortest wedding of the year – everything you see here was captured in 4 hours only! Even though we don’t have getting ready shots nor a wedding party I had to post this because I adored the classic feel their day had.

They got married at Sassafraz, a really great venue for intimate weddings like theirs. Going around Yorkville was a bit tough because it was the windiest day ever, but we still manage to get amazing shots out of it.

Congrats, Kristen and Marc! Wishing you a life filled with love and happiness! ♥

If I had to describe Fiona’s + Bendy’s big day in one word, it would be emotional: from the very beginning of the day with the Chinese door games till the end of the night with the reception.

Their MCs for the night were superb – it was a fun filled reception with tons of games and you could clearly see how the guests were enjoying themselves. All speeches were in Chinese, but you didn’t really need to speak the language to tear up.

Let me share some of my favorites from this super sunny day at this GORGEOUS GORGEOUS venue. Congrats, Fiona and Bendy! You two are perfect together! Wishing you love and happiness, always! ❤

If I were to rank my favorite engagement shoots from this year so far, this couple would easily be on my top 3 list. I absolutely loved Melanie and Jeff engagement session at High Park (click here to view it!) and could not wait for their wedding at the cool and brand new Airship 37.

Their wedding photos started right at the Distillery District – no first looks nor getting ready photos. Melanie didn’t feel like she needed it and, although I do love taking pictures of those moments, I’m not sure if I would want it either if it was my wedding day (I got married a long, long, long time ago when people didn’t even think of having getting ready photos – hey, I’m not that old, it just happens that I got married at 19).

Decoration at the ceremony was simple and beautiful – super kawaii origami and the blue palette was stunning! It went so well with Melanie’s eyes. I liked it so much because you could truly see how it all came together perfectly. At the reception, instead of games, I had the privilege to watch some amazing Odori dance and drumming performances. Guests were completely blown away by those.

Congrats, Melanie and Jeff! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness. ♥

This is Hanaa & Asher’s wedding day – you might remember them from a gorgeous engagement session I shot last April, at the Edward Gardens (click here to view it!). The day was beautiful and this couple was super photogenic so I was counting the days for their big day, at the Manor, in Kettleby.

I remember we had a bit of chance of rain for that Sunday, but we were really lucky and got another beautiful day. Decoration was classic and elegant and the party could’ve not been more fun! Reception was definitely the highlight of the day – Hanaa and Asher were super cute singing “Time of My Life” (from Dirty Dancing), we had some very emotional (and some very funny) speeches and the guests were really enjoying themselves at the dance floor.

Congrats, Hanaa and Asher! May the years to come bring loads of joy and fill your lives with unbounded love. ♥

I was super excited about this wedding because, 1st: loved Lo & Chris e-session and I knew that they would give me amazing photos during their wedding day; 2nd: they were getting married at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, which is an amazing venue!

Forecast was calling for thunderstorms on that Saturday, but we got a pretty bright day – it was also Doors Open Toronto, so we had to deal with lots of people everywhere! Good thing Lo & Chris were okay being on the spotlight and we manage to capture great shots in a very tight schedule.

Congrats, Lo & Chris! It’s so great to see two awesome people like you getting married. Love and best wishes always! ♥

You might remember these two from a really challenging E-Session (will never forget running away from mosquitoes!!). Dora and Paul are really cute couple that decided to wear Converse shoes for the wedding. LOVED IT! Wish Converse would see this and turn it into an advert. :)

This was a very lovely intimate wedding – they exchanged vows in front of their family and two of their closest friends at the beautiful Old Mill Inn.

A couple of weeks before the wedding we were a bit worried about the weather. Forecast wasn’t that great for their big day so they decided to book Knox College, which is a gorgeous location for indoor photos. We were really lucky – by the time we actually needed to be outdoors, the rain had stopped so we were able to get some amazing photos outdoors as well.

Congrats, Dora and Paul! Wishing you lots of joy and happiness always. ♥

Honestly, I will miss this couple a whole lot. These two were so easy to work with and I always had a great time talking to them. I remember leaving our first meeting really hoping for them to book me because we got along so well.

You might remember Wilmar and David from a stunning E-Session at Cherry Beach a few months ago. If you haven’t seen it, don’t forget to check out their e-session clicking here.

They got married this past June at the beautiful Toronto Botanical Gardens, followed by the traditional 10-course chinese dinner reception (yummy!).

Congratulations, Wilmar and David, hope you guys have a wonderful life together! ♥

First wedding of 2014! :)

Loved starting my wedding year with Erin and Mark. I had tons of fun during our e-session last Fall and I was counting the days for their big day at Archeo, a really cool venue for intimate weddings inside the Distillery District.

I remember shooting weddings in March and it was never this freezing cold. I really don’t know how Erin was able to walk around Distillery with no jacket at all. Bravest bride I’ve had so far! We even tried some sparklers photo during the night, but the wind and cold didn’t help us at all – well, at least we got one cute clumsy heart drawing to remember (which you can see at the end of this post).

The highlight of their wedding day was the Pyebaek, a Korean wedding custom. It’s a beautiful ceremony where the parents share some wisdom on marriage. They also throw jujubes (I’ve seen chestnuts at other ceremonies as well) at the bride and groom, which represent their wish for lots of grandchildren. I’m really lucky to live in a country where I can shoot so many cultures and traditions.

Erin and Mark, congratulations! You suit each other perfectly. May your every day together be a joyous ride. ♥

Hope everybody had a great holiday season! Let’s start the year with some new products!! :)

This past year I was really impressed with the number of couples that get overwhelmed by my huge (and heavy!) 12×12 wedding book I bring to meetings.

Even though I still think that book is classic and timeless, I felt that the brides I work with were looking for something lighter and maybe more modern/current. So I finally came up with a wedding book that is lighter, modern, without losing its great quality that my original album has. And the best thing is: it costs 30% less than my original wedding book.

This 9.5 x 9×5 wedding book still has all the good things about my older book: pages layflat, photographic laminated paper, leather cover (16 colors to choose from! – exclusive feature of this new book) and the option of having your names embossed on the cover.

Both are great, it’s just up to you to figure out which album is the right one for you! Please contact me for more info.

Last post of the year. 2013 was a very good year – I’ve never been so busy! It was great working in amazing venues such as this one, the Hart House. Weather was pretty good for October and we were able to have the ceremony outside. Reality is, anywhere you go around UofT is pretty much gorgeous, so it wouldn’t really matter if we were having everything indoors. Of course, I can’t complain of now having these beautiful images from the Quad.

The bride looked stunning! Loved loved her hair style – she looked like one of those movie actresses from the 50s. This couple wanted to spend as much time as possible with their friends and family, so we had very little time for their portraits (15, 20 minutes tops!). They wanted a classic feel to their photos and I’m really proud of the results. I’m usually not a fan of just doing classic poses, but I do think this venue in particular is perfect for that.

Let me share some of my favorites with you!

p.s.: Even though I’m still working every single weekend (and it’s already December!), I will take some time off this blog for a bit. It’s really unfortunate, but I didn’t have time to post all weddings, families and engagement sessions I’d like to. I will keep posting new work on my Facebook page – so make sure you check that out every now and then. See you all next year! :)
