I remember when Aileen first called me wanting to book an engagement session. She didn’t have a date for her wedding yet. I remember meeting her and Brandon at a Starbucks and at that time I had no idea that I would love working with them so much.

We had the E-Session and I can recall talking to my husband while I was editing their images. “I really really REALLY want to shoot their wedding. Look at those photos, they are perfect!! Hope I’m not booked when she picks her wedding date!”, and it wasn’t because they were good looking, but it was because they had so much chemistry in front of the camera.

Some months passed and Aileen e-mailed me to book her wedding day. I was literally jumping up and down.

This happened 2 and a half years ago. Since then, I lost count on how many people contacted me because of them. I also have to thank their relatives (especially Brandon’s mom!) for talking about my work! Really can’t thank them enough.

This current photo session was supposed to happen last Fall, to celebrate Aileen and Brandon’s 1st wedding anniversary. Weather wasn’t that great last year – we never really got a decent Fall and we ended up postponing the shoot to Spring. So in the end, we’re really celebrating two years of marriage. :)

We decided to stay around Whitby – starting at Cullen Central Park, then going for some quick photos “downtown” Whitby and ending the shoot by the lake. Light was just perfect! Love love these. Amazing how two years have passed and they are still so good at PDA. Wish I could take pictures of them every single year!

This is one of the weddings I’ve been waiting anxiously to happen. Why? Because Aileen and Brandon are the couple every photographer wants. Besides the fact they are really good looking (I overheard some guests saying they look like Barbie and Ken – Aileen actually reminds me of Jen Aniston and Brandon looks like those actors from old movies), PDA is not a problem for them and they are extremely nice, easy going people.

It was cute watching them. Since our e-session, I felt like I was shooting a high school couple. You know when you’re in high school and you have the biggest crush on someone and your eyes just sparkle when you look at that person? That’s how they look at each other! I think it’s pretty noticeable from the pictures.

They got married in a gorgeous church 5 minutes away from my house (that’s a first!) and then we went for the portraits. At first, they were thinking of doing portraits before the ceremony, but Brandon really wanted to first see Aileen in her white dress walking down the aisle. We still had time for some amazing portraits at the Trafalgar Castle School and around the Lake House, however I really wished we had time to go to the beach. :( If you’re reading this, Brandon & Aileen, how about a Trash the Dress photo shoot in the future?? :))

Congrats, Brandon and Aileen!

Some days ago I was browsing through Amazon and I stumbled upon the box set of Dawson’s Creek for sale. I didn’t think twice – I had to buy it, since it was my favorite show ever. Dawson’s Creek was on during my teen years and I loved the way that the series was different from the other teen series around that time. Of course that only lasted for the first season and then it became a teen show like all others – guess it had to do with ratings as well. But I kept watching.

The box set finally arrived and I decided to watch some of the episodes again. Then I realized I was too old for it. I can’t relate to any of that anymore – therefore, it’s no fun wasting a whole hour watching Dawson, Joey, Pacey and their whole drama.

The next day, I decided to give it a another try. For my surprise, the episode I chose did not play on my DVD player and since I read that lots of people had trouble with that box set, I decided to return it and just get a refund. Goodbye, James Van Der Beek.

I can’t believe it’s been 13 years since the 1st season of DC. 10 years ago I was leaving high school and starting university. Wow.

And talking about years, the couple from this post has been together for a long time now and I couldn’t believe how they were still so sweet to each other. This is one of the cutest couples EVER! They were sooo in love – their e-session was great. I love every single image of them! I have so many photo shoots from last year I still want to post in here, but I just had to post this one right away. :)

p.s.: this post was updated on 02/15.
