This morning after I dropped my daughter at school I was so happy to see a Christmas card on my mail. And it was from these three cuties I photographed this past October.

I’ve been photographing these girls for 4 years now and never had the chance to post them on my blog (even though they are all over my Facebook Page!). I remember finishing this particular shoot and telling myself I needed to post this session this time.

The reality is that half of the families I work with never get a chance to be featured here because I do give priority to posting weddings and engagement sessions. And I’m with so much work this winter that I wasn’t even going to post anything in here until 2016. But then I get this Christmas card in my mail and I just need to stop for a while and blog this. Loved, loved this shoot and it’s really an honor to watch these kids grow.

Let me share some of my favorites with you! :)

And I could not finish this post without posting the Christmas card I’ve received on the mail! LOVED IT! Thank you, guys. :)

This is probably my busiest time of year and I have several photo sessions lined up waiting to be edited, however I had to post this photo session I shot over the summer. I’ve been thinking about posting this shoot for a couple of weeks now and I finally found some time while I’m exporting another photo session from Lightroom.

I just loved meeting this family – Tristan is such a sweet and energetic boy! Had a great time with them at the beautiful Cullen Gardens here in Whitby. Let me share some of my favorites with you! :)

As I promised on my last post, I’m finally posting a family photo shoot after having so many couples featured in here.

One of the reasons I’ve been skipping families is that they all want to go to the same location and I feel like you’ve seen enough Edward Gardens around here. LOL

The question that I get the most when booking families is where to go, followed by what to wear. So I always send a what to wear guide with some tips and list of popular locations among families. Even though the list has over 50 locations, I can say that 95% of my families go with Edward Gardens. I can’t blame them, place is beautiful and the kids do enjoy the scenery over there.

Reality is it doesn’t really matter where you go! And this shoot is a great example of that. We were actually going to have the photo session at Edward Gardens but forecast was for rain. Rescheduling was not an option in their case and we decided to have the shoot indoors. Rain was on and off and we were able to go the backyard – and look what we’ve got! I LOVE these photos. In the end, it is really about bonding, playing and having fun – not the location.

Let me share some of my favorites with you. :)

This past weekend was a very busy one. Got home Saturday past midnight after a whole day shooting a wedding and was up very early in the morning for a family shoot on Sunday. During the afternoon I shot a birthday party so I was pretty much away from home the whole weekend!

I won’t lie: I was exhausted on Monday – especially when you have to get up super early to take your kid to school. HOWEVER I could not wait any longer to edit this photo session you see right here. I am completely in love with every single picture I took that Sunday morning. Even though most photos on my portfolio look “candid”, I do direct a bit and tell clients what to do since most people are really nervous during the shoot. This wasn’t the case that Sunday morning – everything you see here is 100% not staged. I LOVE THAT! We just let this super cute little girl do whatever she wanted during that cold morning at the Distillery.

Below are some of my favorites. :)

There are lots of family photo shoots from last year that I have yet to post and hopefully I’ll be able to get them all here till the next year! :)

This photo shoot was given as a gift to Jack & Gail for their 60th birthday (and wedding anniversary as well!). Their are proud grandparents of four super cute litle girls and one baby boy! I remember that on that day, I had 4 (yes, FOUR!!) other family photo shoots and theirs was the last one. And I couldn’t have asked for a better family to finish my work day.

Gosh, they were amazing!! Even though it was freezing cold, everybody was so happy to be there. It’s been 5 months now that these pictures were taken and they still make me smile every time I browse through them. Let me share some of my favorites with you!

Back in the Summer of 2011 I shot Wenwen’s and Shawn’s wedding anniversary photos. Then, in the Fall of that same year, Wenwen hired me again to have a shoot with her mom that was coming all the way from China.

I remember just loving working with Wenwen and her family, so I was super excited when she emailed me this year to book a photo shoot with her baby. And what a cute baby! Loved loved meeting and working with baby Christopher.

We started at their place and went for a walk in Unionville. That park is absolutely beautiful! Her mom was also there so we had the chance to snap a few romantic photos for Shawn and Wenwen as well. :)

Let me share some of my favorites with you.

OMG – what a beautiful, gorgeous, sunny day we got for this photo shoot. I really can’t stop looking at these photos – they just make me smile. Such a happy family!

This shoot was to celebrate Cassidy’s birthday. Highlight was definitely her big sister, Kaelin, pulling her in the wagon around Edward Gardens. Had so much fun with these two little ladies!!

Let me share some of my favorites with you. :)

I’ve been shooting this family since Lauren was 2 or 3 months old. Interesting story: their first photo shoot was a gift and the person that bought the gift certificate asked me not to use their pictures because she thought they might not want to share their photos on the internet. I don’t really like bothering people, so I never asked them if I could use their photos, even though I really wanted to.

8 photo shoots later I finally decided to ask the parents if they were okay with me using a couple of photos of their kids on my website. And, for my surprise, they said I could use any photo I wanted. Absolutely adore these photos, there’s so much happiness and love – I can’t help but post some of them here. :)

Sunny, beautiful morning we got for this family photo shoot at the Brick Works.

Edward Gardens and High Park are the most popular locations among my clients for family shoots, so I was actually surprised this year when I got two families wanting to go over there (check out my Facebook Page to see the photos from the other family shoot!). I’m always at the Brick Works for engagements sessions, so it was nice to go there with a family for a change.

I had a great time with Faysal, Liyana and their parents. These kids were super cute and fun to be around! Let me share some of the amazing pictures we got from that morning. :)

Come wedding season and I’m flooded with images to work on. No joke, I have over 10.000 images on my computer right now waiting to be edited. And between a wedding and an engagement session, there’s always time for family shoots on weekdays.

I tend to focus on couples on my blog for obvious reasons, but I promised myself I’d post more family shoots this year. I will also try to post some from last year, I just need to have time to go through my disks.

Last month I had the pleasure to work with these three little guys and their parents at the beautiful Richmond Green. Here are some of my favorites!
