So I just ran into this family at a birthday party today and remembered of this great photo shoot we had last year.

I’m still drowning in wedding and family photos to edit, but I just had to stop everything I was doing to post this. Love these photos, had to share it now otherwise I’m sure I’d forget.

Now let me get back to work. :)

It’s funny how time flies when you get older. Just now I noticed it’s been almost 5 months since I posted a family shoot here. I worked with so many wonderful families last year and never had a chance to stop and write about them. I even had families asking me if I didn’t like their shoot because they never appeared in my blog (!).

Thing is, after you have kids, your priorities change quite a bit. I’m always working on weekends and then, on weekdays, I also have to stay on my computer editing photos. When I’m done with the editing, I just want to spend as much time as I can with my daughter and this blog, unfortunately, is not a priority anymore. I do post some new work on my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/YukiNodaPhotography); that’s the place where you should go to check out my newest work.

This is Francesco and this photo session is celebrating his 100th day, a special occasion in Chinese culture. It was such a pleasure to meet this cute little baby and his older brother, Matteo.

Our shoot started with just Francesco and his mom. A few minutes later, Matteo and his dad arrived from swimming lessons. First thing Matteo did was go to his brother room and hug him! Cutest thing EVER! It was incredible to see such a young boy caring so much about his younger brother.

Richmond Green was THE location for families shoots in 2013 – it’s interesting because I don’t even suggest this park for families, but I had lots of clients choosing this park. It is actually perfect for little ones – it has lots of great features for young kids and it’s small so nobody gets tired!

From all the shoots I’ve had last year in this place, this one is my favorite! Loved shooting this cute little family! The kite sequence was quite hard since the wind was not helping at all, but in the end we did get great images out of it.

I won’t even start to talk about weather – I lost count of how many times we had to reschedule this shoot. Hopefully will have a sunny 2014. :)

This is one of the most interesting stories behind a family photo shoot. Olivia’s parents wanted to capture some nice moments to remember before going on an one year trip through the Pan-American highway.

This shoot is from a couple of months ago and they’re already in their camper driving through the greatest sceneries! They actually have a blog and you can checkout their adventures on this link.

Good luck, guys! Hope you have the time of your life in this amazing trip!

Another great family shoot from a couple of weeks ago. Again, we got really lucky with an amazing summer day – one of the very few we had this year.

I never had a client so worried about what to wear – I lost count of the number of e-mails we exchanged discussing outfits. In the end all the hard work that this mom had thinking of combination of colors, etc. paid off… the family looks beautiful!

This year I’ve been thinking of not shooting families anymore since I’m getting really exhausted shooting weddings almost every weekend, dealing with a two year old, editing photos till 3AM in the morning, and taking family shoots on weekdays, but it’s hard to say no to families wanting their pictures taken after we see these results.

Hope everybody had an awesome holiday season! 2013 is here and I still have lots of photo shoots from 2012 that I want to post. This one is from last November – you might remember Claudia and Robinson if you come here often. Their maternity photo shoot was featured in here not too long ago.

Let me introduce their newest addition to the family: baby Amanda. Believe or not, she was only two weeks old – definitely one of the cutest newborns I’ve ever seen! Claudia and Robinson, congrats, may Amanda fill your hearts with joy! :)

Weather’s not helping at all – I had to cancel/reschedule a few family photo shoots because it’s just been raining every single weekend. With all the wind from yesterday, trees are almost all bare so I’m guessing there will be no more family shoots with that great Fall look we all love. Luckily, I was able to shoot this amazing family and since this was my favorite Fall session of the year, I decided to stop my wedding editing to make this post.

Meet Fatima (mom), Daniel (dad), Jacob and Sophia. They know me from a couple of weddings I shot last/this year. It was great spending the morning with them – Jacob running all over the place (talk about energy!) and Sophia just being the CUTEST baby ever – she was ALL smiles and didn’t cry for a single minute. I also have to thank Daniel’s mom for helping us out – she kept an eye on the kids while we shot a few pictures of just Fatima and Daniel. :)

Let me share my favorite ones with you!

First I gotta say I LOVED my old website. I loved my flying pictures and I bet I was the only one that knew you could drag and drop them – I could play with those for hours and I would for sure if I had the time. I also loved the way my Portfolio was displayed. The whole thing was built using Macromedia Flash, so if you tried to view my site using an iPhone/iPad, you would see a boring version of it (= my blog). We needed to do something about it. And this is it.

Hello and welcome to my brand new website. :)

It’s pretty simple but I like it. I love my new logo, my new colors, everything! It definitely reflects who I am today. I don’t miss my old site AT ALL. Thank you, hubby, for doing an amazing job. ♥

My business cards will remain the same, though. Have thousands of those still. HAHA.

Now talking about this photo shoot – this was a gift Camila gave to her dear husband for Father’s Day. I know! I should have blogged about it months ago. I wish I had posted their Maternity pics as well, but you can find a few of them on my Portfolio.

Since this is a Father’s Day post, I gotta say that today is actually my dad’s birthday. Happy B-Day, dad! I know you’re an avid reader of this blog – every time I have visits from Japan, it’s him for sure. lol Thank you for working 2 jobs most of your life to pay for food, school and buy me all the things I wanted. Yeah, I was a spoiled child.
