I absolutely loved shooting this wedding! It included many of my personal favourite locations and Karin & Justin were so happy throughout the day it was a joy photographing those two. I’m excited to share these photos with you all.
Karin and Justin heard about my photography work from their cousin Jenn – I shot her wedding anniversary photos not too long ago, which I have yet to post here, but you can check a few of those photos on my Facebook page later. :)
We started the day with getting ready photos and headed to Cullen Gardens for the first look. Cullen Gardens is my favourite park here in Whitby- I practically go there everyday for walks so I loved, loved taking photos of them on that iconic bridge. They exchanged letters and Justin got very emotional, everything was so romantic! Their ceremony was held at the Hebron Christian Reformed Church, here in Whitby too. What a beautiful ceremony!! Highlights were definitely all the little children involved and the amazing choir.
Wedding party photos were shot at the lakeshore in Oshawa, another one of my favourite locations here in the Durham region. Karin, Justin and their entire wedding party were very brave and climbed the rocks on the lake for photos! Totally worth it! I had so much fun photographing them.
Another highlight of this day was the gorgeous decoration her aunt put on for the reception. Gorgeous, gorgeous flowers arrangements and lights made their reception venue, Jubilee Pavilion in Oshawa, look stunning.
Even though we didn’t have quite a sunset on that night, we were surprised by so many seagulls flying all around Karin and Justin during their last portrait session of the day. It was a magical moment.
Congrats Karin and Justin! Thanks so much for letting me capture your big day! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness.
